The Role
As our Community Services Coordinator, you’ll lead by example, guiding your team to deliver high-quality support services. You'll work closely with individuals, their families/whānau, and the community to design and deliver supports that are aspirational, responsive, and empowering.
- Facilitate a person-directed approach to support, working alongside individuals, whānau, and community networks
- Develop outcome-focused support plans — and track progress to ensure success
- Build open, respectful relationships with those we support, using their input to improve services
- Lead a positive, inclusive team culture that supports staff to do their best work
- Nurture strong working relationships across your team, encouraging collaboration and shared purpose
- Coach and mentor staff, providing regular feedback that drives growth and excellence
- Ensure staff are trained and can meet peoples specific support needs
- Ensure rostering and budgeting goals are met
About You
- Hold a Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or a related qualification in disability support.
- Bring 3+ years of experience partnering with others, in support of people achieving their goals.
- A natural communicator — articulate, approachable, and adaptable across diverse audiences
- Passionate about people — valuing individual uniqueness and cultural diversity
- A team builder — someone who motivates and empowers others to thrive
- Exceptionally well-organised, with strong planning and systems thinking
